Bright Ideas for Tennis – 24Hour Marathon

Bright Ideas for Tennis, a charity led by former Davis Cup player Danny Sapsford,  held their annual 24 hour Tennis marathon and celebration of inclusivity at the National Tennis Centre at the end of February with plenty of Middlesex support. Mark Bullock, Harriet Dart, Mika Stojsavljevic, Laura Robson, Lily Mills, Adam Hills, Esah Hayat, Valerie Copenhagen, Lola-Omran, Jon Wildman, Stuart Wilkinson, Uxbridge LTC, Mayfield LTC, David Lloyd Finchley to name a few were involved in an event that raised XXXXX to fund disability tennis programmes in tennis venues across the UK.

Jonny O’Mara, Katie O’Brien & Tracy Compton all played for the whole 24 hours. Tracy is the first B1 (totally blind) player to play tennis for 24 hours.

It was a truly inclusive event with players at all levels participating alongside schools and players and disability groups representing a wide range if impairment types.

The event was also attended by Gordon Reid, Tim Henman, Greg Rusesedski, Andrew Castle, Hannah Klugman, Mark Ceban, Alex Sablinsky, Josh Goodall, John Willis, Thomas Dodds and many others.
