Disability Events at Middlesex-Surrey County Championships 2019

Middlesex and Surrey joined forces to deliver Visually Impaired tennis, Learning Dsability tennis and Wheelchair tennis events as part of the County Championships, the only counties to offer events for all three impairment types. In addition a deaf player, Esah Hayat, competed in the Middlesex Men’s County Championships reaching the semi-finals of both singles and doubles.
Westway Sports Centre hosted the visually impaired tennis event, with Vicars Moor Tennis Club hosting the learning disability tennis event and Sutton Tennis Centre staging the wheelchair tennis event.
