At Middlesex Tennis, we are proud to continue strengthening the work we do as part of our commitment to creating a more inclusive and diverse tennis and padel community. As we progress with our Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) strategy, we are delighted to welcome Anne Nicholls to the Middlesex Tennis Management Board as our new EDI Trustee, and excited to announce Martin Etheridge joining our professional team as EDI Lead. Together, they will help drive this important mission forward.

Anne will oversee the implementation of our 3-year EDI action plan, ensuring our commitment to inclusion is embedded across all areas of our work. With her extensive experience in inclusive tennis and her passion for nurturing a sense of community and belonging, Anne will play a key role in ensuring tennis remains accessible and welcoming to everyone.
Martin’s role focuses on supporting venues in becoming more inclusive and serving as the lead contact for our collaborative work with partners, including the Queen’s Club Foundation. Additionally, he will work closely with our EDI Trustee to ensure our governance and culture reflect our commitment to inclusion. Martin will also collaborate with Mark Bullock, a world-renowned specialist in Inclusive Tennis, who will provide ongoing support in coach and player education, advocacy, and advice in the inclusive tennis and padel space.
“I am delighted to get this wonderful team in place. We are absolutely committed to working with 40 of our clubs and parks to enable them to open up tennis across north and west London. We are also beyond excited to be working in partnership with the Queen’s Club Foundation. We are going places in the inclusive tennis space, and we have the team and partners in place to change lives through our wonderful sports of tennis and padel!”
