Road to Wimbledon

Club/Park/Venues

For 11-14 year olds (or Year 7-9 for schools) and players with a rating of 7.1 or worse – this is a great staged competition.Venues and Venue organisers plan and run their own internal competition for eligible players. The winner qualifies through to the County Finals with lots of fun competition and prizes.

The ultimate prize for County champions is the opportunity to play a tournament on the Grass Courts at AELTC, home of Wimbledon Championships. This has in the past included access to the Wimbledon Museum, AELTC Player changing rooms and the R2W player party during the week.

County Runners Up are invited to attend a Coach workshop with Dan Bloxham, Head Coach at AELTC and a former pro player at AELTC.

Club registration for Road to Wimbledon will be open in December to End of February.

Regional/International Pathway

Players compete in the local regional tournament where qualifiers progress to the International competition playing against the Top 14U players from India, Hong Kong, Japan and China.

For your players rated 6.2 or better, please recommend the Regional stage competition – more info available here.

LTA Youth Team Challenge

Team challenge is organised by a local cluster organiser (e.g. coach, competition organiser, club volunteer) at an LTA Registered Venue. The cluster organiser invites local venues within approximately 30 minutes to take part in a recreational team competition which is held on one day over a 2-3 hour period.
